My Three Baking Must-Haves
There are a ton of tools that you need if you're going to start baking; from a hand mixer and oven mitt, to piping bags and cake scrapers, the list goes on and on, But beyond the usual suspects, there are tools that exist to make your life easier and your baking more streamlined.
While there are definitely things I cannot live without (cue hand mixer because making meringues by hand is not for the faint of heart), here are my top three MUST-HAVES when it comes to my own kitchen:
Brown Sugar Bear
This cute little guy is an essential! I bought a ton of brown sugar because it was on sale, and left it in my air tight container for a few weeks. When i came back to use the brown sugar it was rock hard. Added the bear and the entire container is back to it's original form! Plus he's adorable af.
Air-tight Storage
The aforementioned air-tight containers are amazing for storing all your dry ingredients. It's a whole lot less messy than scooping flour and sugar out of their bags and makes it bug proof too! I love how put-together they make your kitchen look, and it makes it easy to keep track of inventory. You can get them at pretty much any home decor store like Home Goods or Ikea!
Silicone Mats
Once you use these you will never look back, trust me. They are non-stick, require barely any cleaning time and only cost about $5-10! I got mine off of Amazon, and they fit most standard cookie sheets.
These three simple gadgets make my life easy from inception to completion whether I'm making something as simple as chocolate chip cookies or as complicated as seven-layer cookies. What are your must-haves?
